Salman Khan Denies Buying Deccan Chargers
Salman Khan has denied media reports that he might buy IPL team Deccan Chargers. “No IPL team for me just being human and movies,” he tweeted.
With the financially beleaguered Deccan Chronicle Holdings Limited (DCHL), owners of the IPL team Deccan Chargers, seeking bids to sell of the team, there was speculation that Salman Khan was in the fray to bid for the IPL team.
Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan owns the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders, while Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab are owned by Shilpa Shetty and Preity Zinta respectively.
Salman Khan has given a string of hit films starting from Dabangg, Ready, Bodyguard and Ek Tha Tiger. He is presently shooting for Dabangg 2. He is the only actor to have 5 films in the 100-crore-club.
