Mumbai: American Pop Singer Katy Perry is coming for the first time to India on April 3, 2012 to perform during the grand opening ceremony of IPL-5 (Indian Premier League) at YMCA Grounds, Chennai, India. Katy Perry will be performing live at YMCA Grounds in Chennai on the grand memorable night of Opening Ceremony of Indian Premier League (IPL-5).




IPL Chairmen Rajeev Shukla said in a statement about the Opening ceremony of DLF IPL 2012 – “We look forward to Perry’s participation at the DLF IPL 2012 Opening Nite. A performer of her calibre makes the occasion even more special for the IPL family – players, organisers and fans. The verve and originality of her music matches that of the competition and we look forward to an inspired performance from her,”

Also Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, Dabangg Salman Khan and Desi girl Priyanka Chopra will be major attraction of the IPL Opening Ceremony at Chennai which will begin at 7.30 PM. Along with these stars, bollywood hot babe Kareena Kapoor may also joins the IPL Opening Ceremony as sources said.
The entry of the audiences will be open from 5 PM and the starting price of the entry tickets is INR 1500.
