Box Office Report : 5th April 2012

This week will see the release of Sajid Khan’s HOUSEFULL 2, the next in the highly successful HOUSEFULL series. Given the big cast comprising Rishi, Mithun, Akshay, John, Boman, Asin, Riteish, Zarine, Jacqueline and Shazahn etc, the superb promotion, and the popular music, the Sajid Nadiadwala film is all set to embark on a good to bumper start, this Friday.

Last Friday’s Kunal Khemu starrer, BLOOD MONEY, saw a decent weekend (as we had indicated on Saturday) netting around 5.50-6 crore. The weekdays too were quite steady on the middle end. Given the all inclusive cost of less than 10 crore, the Vishal Mahadkar directed BLOOD MONEY will be a profitable venture (not a big success) for the Bhatt camp, thanks to the non-theatrical rights. The film though has not done well in the overseas. The other release of last Friday, BUMBOO, has been rejected at the ticket window.
